My 2 year old

Evan turned 2 in January. He's no longer a baby. This makes me sad. Sort of. I do have to say that the older he gets the funnier he gets. He says things that just make me smile. Yesterday he told me "Mama, (pointing at himself) Eman Morris." He wanted Kyle and I to know he knows his name. (No that wasn't a typo, he calls himself Eman. He still can't pronounce the V in his name. He'll get there.)

His favorite things now are Mickey Mouse (totally obsessed with the show and anything to do with the mouse and his friends in the clubhouse), cars and school busses (repeatedly asking to drive a school bus) and his play kitchen.
He likes to combine two activities into one - fixin stuff and playing in the kitchen.
He wants to be like his dada - fixing everything in the house. :) Yet another reason he brings a smile to my face.

Christmas/Winter 2010

Ok. I'm horrible at this blogging thing. I've tried in vain to keep up but this tends to be the last thing I get to once I put forth effort of getting on the computer. I'm going to try to get better..... Don't hold your breath though. You might pass out before I post another one.
This post has been sitting in my que for a while now....obviously by the title you can get an idea of this. Needless to say, since I typed it I felt like I should publish it. So here goes. Again, I'm going to try to be better at this.

We had an exciting Christmas this year. Just before Christmas we took a trip with Evan's cousin Mason, Aunt Jen and Uncle Frank to the Children's Museum. Evan and Mason got to play, slide down the big Yule slide and see Santa. The boys had fun and even braved the slide by them selves - they are getting so big! Both boys knew who Santa was but when we tried to get our pictures taken with him, they were both scared. For Evan, it must have been a tramatizing experience because when you ask him now what he thinks of Santa, he hugs himself and says "scared". I know he'll eventually get over this stranger fear and learn to be excited to see this man in red.

Although he was scared to see Santa, he sure loved the presents he got from him. Christmas morning was sure fun! He definately got spoiled this year. He was actually excited to open and immediately play with all of the toys he got. He's such a lucky boy!
We all got to enjoy the toys Santa brought Evan!
One of Evan's favorites has been this "talking" dog - Jingle. Jingle barks while you read a book aloud. He's formed a new obsession with stuffed animals. We've decided to place a hold on any new stuffed "friends" entering our house. It is impossible to carry a 2 year old + 17 stuffed friends.
This picture was taken by Evan. Quite the photographer.
My little boy. :)
